Pastor Rick Davis
Revival 2010
The faith and vision of Bible Baptist Church
was seen the winter Revival Meeting of 2010.

It was the desire of Pastor and people to
have the Lord speak to their hearts and move among them. Through
much prayer and openness before the Lord, many areas of lives were
touched and corrected. Areas of weakness were strengthen in the
Word of God

Not a service went by that the altar was
empty. Under the conviction of the Holy Spirit and direction found
in the Word of God folks did their most sincere and heartfelt surrender
to the Lord Jesus Christ.
| Good Gospel
music is not just about notes and words. Many can play the
notes and sing the words, but the really blessing is when it
comes from the heart and soul of the believer. |

Missions Conference
2008
The Lord is blessing in a most
wonderful way here in Brooklyn, Connecticut. As the
church is growing so is its outreach among the local
community and around the world. From the very
beginning the heart of the church has been souls. No
matter as to location, just souls in need of salvation.
This was a great Mission Conference. Each night
folks gave attentive direction to the Biblical means of
support and missions.
At the close of the conference
there was a great crowd on hand and an excellent and
heart warming response in missions commitment. The
faith promise commitment was 80% over last year.
Only a people with such great faith and deep love for the
Lord can achieve such an outstanding growth in giving.
Not only did the Lord speak in our
hearts in the matter of giving, but also many personal
needs, conviction and strength for life were evident.
Ten Year Anniversary Service

Amazing how fast time travels.
It was just over ten years ago I that I drove past Open
Bible Baptist Church, wondering if this
new church was true to the Word of God and the mission of
the Lord. Now ten year later I preached the
Ten Year Anniversary service!
 |
The weekend began with an
abundant and delicious fellowship dinner. Food
and fellowship always make for a blessed time among
God's people. |
A great crowd came for the Sunday
Morning service. How amazing that ten years ago
this was and empty building in a community with no true
Gospel witness. Now a thriving ministry is
expanding its out reach across the Brooklyn area.
 |
 |
| We were privileged to
have both the Men's and Ladies' singing group from
the New England Baptist College with us in the
services. |
 |
 |
During the Sunday Morning
service the members took time to honor and show
appreciation to Pastor Davis, his wife and family.
There was a special power point presentation showing
the history and development of the ministry in
Brooklyn, CT.
After the video, the Davis were presented with gifts
as token of love and support. Many testimonies
were given to the effect Brother Davis, his family
and the church had on their life. |

One of the main roads that I
travel is Route 6 towards Rhode Island. I remember
one Sunday Morning when my Oh hum drive was broken by
the sign that read "OPEN BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH".
My thought was, "I wonder if that is a Bible
Believing Baptist Church starting in the old Grange
Hall." Well, I soon meet Brother Rick Davis and
his family and now can say AMEN it is gospel
preaching, Bible believing, Fundamental Baptist
Church!

Open
Bible Baptist Church in the past Ten years has
experienced the blessing of the Lord in great ways.
Pastor Rick Davis and his family moved here from
Georgia being called of the Lord to establish, build
and pastor one of Connecticut's faithful Baptist
Churches. Souls have been saved, baptized and
taught Godly living and faithful followers of Jesus
Christ.
I have
preached here a number of times and have seen the
church grow in numbers and spiritual maturity.
I always am glad to see and meet the new folks.
My wife,
Faith and I had a wonderful time with the folks and
the response to the preaching was excellent. I
expect to see the Lord's blessing on this work and
ministry.
 |
 |
| It always
thrills my heart to see young people serve the
Lord with gladness. |

The old grange hall in
town was purchased and remodeled by the members of
the church. New and more
"comfortable" chairs were installed, the wooded
floor was completely refinished, the ceiling
was dropped, new lighting added and a platform was
built. The lower auditorium was also redone
along with the kitchen.
Yet the
labor for souls is the key and foremost vision of
this gospel preaching church.

From the
very start the believers have taken the
responsibility of World wide missions seriously.
Several missionaries are supported by prayer
and financial giving. No church is
Biblical unless it has a missions program to reach
the lost around the world.

Pastor Rick Davis and his
family
need your prayers for the Lord's
guidance and power.
