Faith Promise Mission Conference Grace Baptist Church is growing in numbers, faith and vision. In light of this growth its the members seek to keep the Lord's commandment to spread the Gospel across the world. This meeting was about missions. about giving and about souls.
The Theme of the Conference was Are You Willing To Be Used of God? Currently Grace Baptist Church supports twenty-two missionaries around the world. Yet in the end we were reminded that we all are missionaries in the harvest field of the world. Boys, girls, teens and adults all had a part in seeking the Lord's direction in their giving for missions.
The Mission Board shows the concern for lost souls and for the men and women who are called to reach them.
The attendance was excellent each night of the conference. Not only was the number of folks coming out good but the wonderful and joyful spirit they had was evident of their willingness to heed the Word of God.
Previous Meeting This was my second time preaching in this Florida church and the warm spirit in the church out did the warm weather outside. Pastor Darrow and his wife have a wonderful ministry in this city.
Since my last time here the church grew and I had the opportunity to meet new folks as well as see those I remembered. The meeting was well attended and it seemed that each service was a special blessing in music, fellowship and preaching. There was a growing expectation of how the Lord was going to speak to hearts.
Among the special music were Brother Don and Sister Merritt. They travel as a music team around the country. The old Gospel message was sung in the old powerful way and the Lord blessed.
Pastor Darrow teaches and leads his people in the matter of personal soul-winning. Each day folks gathered at the church to go out into the lanes and by ways to bring the Gospel Message. Actually each day the numbers grew as more and more hearts were moved in the services. I was amazed at the determination of a dear Sister in this church to go out door knocking. Even with a very bad foot problem she walked the streets with us. On one such visitation day a man was saved in this doorway. That night he came to the revival meeting as a profession of his new found faith in Christ. Not only did he come but he brought his family with him as well. There were so many blessing in this meeting. I met a man that was in my church when I was Pastor here in Connecticut. I remember the Sunday he came with his Mom. I led his Mom to the Lord that day. He now has moved back to Florida and goes to this find church. I also met a young man that surrendered to preach in a Revival Meeting I had in New Jersey about a year ago. He now is attending a Bible College in Florida. He came to the meeting with some friends. God sure is GOOD .. all the TIME. also had a most wonderful and long hoped for experience while here.
In this city lives a couple that were the most influential people in my
life. They were in my very first church in New Jersey and took me
under their wing over 36 years ago. I always felt blessed to have
had them in my life. So while here I had the chance to visit them
and they came each night to the Revival meeting. They are up in
years now but none the less in love with the Lord with a ready and
willing heart to serve Him as best they can any way they can.
