Bible Baptist Church
Llano, Texas
"In the Hill
Country of Texas"

In the heart of the "Texas Hill
Country" and under the vast Texas ski, Llano finds its
roots and great heritage. With a population of
around 3,700, Pastor Dale Strawn has labored for the work
of the Lord for over 11 years. The membership has
entered into and completed a challenging building program
with a new building of approximately 12,000 sq feet and
paid in full.

From a humble and outgrown
facility, the church has relocated and built one of the
finest buildings you can image for the work of the
ministry.
I had the most wonderful joy,
thrill and privilege of being here for the dedication of
this work. In the past I have stood on the barren
ground, then on the cement slab under the red iron.
Then to stand in the finished building was nothing short
than seeing the hand of God's goodness.
Vacation Bible
School
2008
Once more I was asked to come do the Vacation
Bible School. It was a great time of fun and spiritual joy in the
Lord. Usually when we think of VBS we think of children. But
here VBS is FAMILY VBS. Young and old alike joined in the games,
the singing and Bible lessons. How exciting to meet new folks
since the last time I was here and to see many of the faithful still in
service for the Lord.

This church was made for
preaching!! A comfortable auditorium, adequate
lighting and well equipped sound system combined with a
people whose hearts the Lord has touched, made the
VBS and Sunday Services very special. Souls were saved and
baptized.
The weather was good without being or hot or
rainy. On the Fourth of July we all sat outside the church and watched
the fire works on the Llano River.

The church over looks the city and is at one
of the highest points in the area. You can't help but wonder how
many lost souls will die and never know the love of the Lord nor of His
saving grace.
It is the vision of Pastor and people to
reach this needy area with a strong witness and testimony.

Each night before I preached Mrs. Souza told a true missionary
story on the life of Amy Carmichael. Through this missionaries
life story at least one young lady surrendered to the service of the
Lord.
Mrs. Souza has a very special way of telling
a story that keeps the interest of all ages. I am always glad to
have her be part of my ministry. But the true impact was in the
life of this missionary and her undying love for the lost and denial of
self.

Once again the Bible Baptist Church of Mason
joined with us. They were a very welcome and appreciated guest.
But they were not just guests. They joined in helping in any way
they could having a cheerful spirit and joyful heart.

It is really amazing how the Lord has provided for the ministry
here over the years. Recently a man donated this bus for the work
of evangelism in the town. He paid for the bus, the painting and
even the lettering.

The bus was put to good use during VBS.

The VBS ran from Wednesday to Sunday Night.
At the end of the Sunday Evening service Pastor baptized a young girl
that was saved during the week. It was thrilling time as
many friends and relatives came to witness her new found faith in Jesus
Christ.
Many, both child and adult, were at the altar
and the Lord touched deeply within our hearts. Amid the tears were
smiles of joy as lives were changed.

Everyone joined in on the singing, the fun songs,
games and Bible times

Brother Michael really had our attention when he
was doing his tricks. Just when we thought we had if figured out
he would surprise us. His tricks always had some Bible teaching to
them.
I guess now is as good as
time as any to admit that once again the GIRLS won the Penny March.
But the Boys were close!!!!!!

Each night, those who came, brought their Bible, said their
memory verse or brought a guess got to earn "Bible Baptist Bucks" which
could be redeemed at the prize table each night.
All the children worked hard to earn as many "Bible Baptist Bucks" as
they could to buy the things they wanted.
